Hotel Else

It's a small hotel in a peaceful village. The room was a little small, but everything else was hard to fault: attentive service, clean, well-kept rooms, and good sauna and steam facilities. The food was excellent, and they catered well for allergies.

The rooms are on the small side, but this is a very clean, well-kept hotel with a lot going for it. The staff are welcoming and speak Italian, English, German, and possibly more. Food was really good, and allergies were no problem. Just tell them what you can't or don't want to eat. They had gluten-free buns and also made gluten-free dumplings, apple strudel, and other dishes, which is unusual. For skiing, the location is hard to beat. The Sella Ronda slopes run in both directions right behind and in front of the hotel, so you can get onto the right slope for wherever you're heading. Even in the busy season there were no queues at the lifts. Most ski rental places are less than a five-minute walk away, and the town center is close too. After a long day on the slopes, the small spa is a nice bonus. It has a sauna, steam bath, infrared chamber, and bathtub, and it's just as clean and well-kept as the rest of the hotel.

We slept really comfortably, and the family running the hotel pay attention to the little details. The staff were fantastic, and everything was very clean. There's good food, a nice sauna, and a ski room with storage for skis and boots plus boot warmers. The ski lift is right beside the hotel, which sits on the slopes in town. I'd highly recommend it.

Breakfast and dinner were both great. The staff are friendly, and the place is very clean.
