You really feel tucked away in the countryside here, and the place is wonderful and private. Getting there takes some effort, though, and anything else is at least a 10-minute drive. The trip back from the city after dark can feel a little dicey.
We stayed in a nicely furnished apartment at the end of a row of beautifully converted farm buildings. The family, who have owned the olive farm for generations, were very friendly. It’s a lovely, peaceful base for a few days in Tuscany, with Siena a short drive away. Just be ready for a long, dusty driveway on the way in.
Fresh herbs by the veranda and lemon trees were a lovely touch. The people were lovely too, and we enjoyed the wine and olive oil. It’s a peaceful spot with beautiful views over olive trees and vineyards. We had a really lovely stay.
The views are stunning, and Siena is close by. Such a beautiful place. Perfect.
A lovely little hidden gem. The road in is a bit rough, though.
