We had a lovely meal at the hotel's restaurant, and Max was very helpful. The staff were all friendly, too. Our ground-floor apartment #1 was spotless, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a pleasant private garden and access to the shared pool. It was also right by the lake. We'd happily come back.

We've stayed here three times because we love the location and Lake Garda, and the team at Hotel Dogana is quick to respond and very helpful. The apartments need a much deeper clean, though. There was so much dust that our feet got dirty walking around, including under the beds. The garden had spider webs everywhere, and the chairs were so dusty we had to wipe them down ourselves. If the hotel knows guests are arriving, the apartment should be cleaned properly so it's more enjoyable.

Our ground-floor apartment had plenty of room, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a lovely private yard. The pool was nice and still open at the start of October, and the staff were friendly. We only wished there were some net fencing at the far end of the yard to keep the dogs in. We'd recommend staying here, including with dogs.

Quiet spot, clean and nicely furnished, with a private pool. It just costs too much.
