The owners were warm and ready to help, and Spoleto is only about an eight-minute drive away. The final bit of road is unpaved, though still easy enough to reach. It's an old farmhouse surrounded by greenery, a lovely fit if you want to unwind in nature.

The place is wonderfully clean, and the welcome left me completely satisfied. Vermontana is an enchanting old farmhouse with 15th-century heritage, set amid nature. If you're visiting or staying in beautiful Spoleto in Umbria, it's well worth seeing.

We were so glad to have escaped a "nightmare hotel"! Finding this place was a bit tricky, and the road there wasn't especially convenient, but that was the only drawback and didn't change my rating. The owner was courteous and professional, breakfast was generous and excellent, and our room was lovely and comfortable. :)
