B&B San Firmino

Our host was friendly and had plenty of useful information, and everything worked just as expected. The Italian breakfast was more than enough, too. For a B&B style stay in the center of Venice, this was terrific value. The two-room apartment was really spacious, which means a lot here, and had a bathtub and canal view. It's in an ancient building right on the square, beside a canal with a taxiboat stand. From here, it felt like everything was close. Grazie mille! 🇮🇹

Cafes and spots for breakfast or lunch are all within walking distance, and the location is very good. Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square are about 5-7 minutes away. The staff were pleasant, and Lorenzo can fill you in on everything you need to know.

The location was the only good thing about this horrible place, and I paid $350.00 for one night. The hotel is very old, but the mold and damp smell were unbearable. I could barely sleep, felt like I was suffocating, and got sick from the indoor mold and moisture. If you're allergic to damp or mold, stay away. I've never had a stay where I couldn't sleep at all. I left at 5 am because I couldn't stand another second there. There's no AC either. I brought a converter, but it didn't work, and I couldn't plug anything in, including my blower or iron. I don't know if they pay for the reviews people leave, but my experience was terrible.

Mirco was an incredible host and really went out of his way for us. He even pointed us to one of the few certified gluten-free restaurants in town, and they also provided a gluten-free breakfast. The bedroom was extremely spacious, and after a tiring day the whirlpool bath was a great extra. It's an amazing B&B in a great spot for exploring Venice. We'll definitely come back. Thank you!
