Our room was roomy by Venice standards, spotless, comfortable, and set up well enough for a longer visit. We were there for five nights, and it was cleaned again during our stay. Andrea and her husband clearly take care with the details. They made us feel at home from the start. We were offered a spritz each, and since it was New Year’s, there was also a bottle of prosecco and three lovely little cakes. It came across as real warmth, not just a routine welcome. We slept well and felt genuinely welcome, and we’re already hoping to return.

The apartment’s background, from the story of the street to its earlier use as a monastery boarding house, really got our imaginations going. Andrea even sent a video before our arrival showing a step-free route from Santa Lucia Station, which helped with all our luggage. She was incredibly kind and had also prepared a detailed guide to the area. We spent five nights here, June 27th to July 2nd, during a 120-day trip around the world. The bed and kitchen were comfortable, and the place was so clean and well equipped. We’ve stayed in luxury hotels around the world during this trip, but this apartment was the best of them all. We first booked through Booking.com, then realized reviews could only be submitted up to the 28th after check-out, so we’re writing here instead. We hope to come back to Venice and stay with Andrea again soon. It’s so good that I almost hope it doesn’t get too famous, or I might not get a booking. Thank you, Andrea. Hope to see you again.

We were just a short walk from the Rialto, with a Vaporetto stop about a dozen yards away and plenty of cafés nearby. It was a great location, and we’ll definitely come back here on a future Venice trip. We stayed at Ca' della Scimmia for over two weeks in January. The room stayed warm and dry, with enough space for our things, a comfy bed, and a small but powerful washing machine. They left fruit, granola, and coffee at check-in. We enjoyed making morning coffee with both the espresso machine and Moka brewer. Andrea was kind and quick to respond when we needed things for the room. She even came out on a Sunday evening to help us when we couldn’t get back in.

The low bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the whole unit seemed designed around it. We came as a couple with friends who stayed there too, and being only a few feet from the vaparetto and water taxi stop made getting around easy. The bridge and all the activity around it were right outside our window. Andrea was such a sweet, hardworking host, always ready to sort things out or answer a question. After the room was cleaned, she even folded my dress on the bed. I’ve never had anyone do that before. There’s great bread, cheese, chocolates, and more just down the street. Grab butter and fig jam from the market too. I ate so much fresh bread and didn’t gain an ounce! I’d give this place six stars if I could.
