The location was right by the Venice canals and close to everything, and Max was nice enough. He even bought us a frying pan and something else we needed. But he came into the house to leave them, which gave us no privacy. The place itself was a disaster. It felt more like a junk warehouse than a home: very old furniture, cupboards stuffed with useless things, neglected rooms, worn-out kitchen utensils, barely usable hot water, and terrible dirt. The curtains were in awful shape or missing, and the wall was a mess from one side to the other. I wouldn’t recommend it, and I won’t return.
