The rooms are small, which is understandable in Venice, but the lack of sleep was another matter. The owner lives upstairs, and even ordinary movements could wake us, whether around midnight or at 6 in the morning. A motorboat also went fishing along the little canal beside the rooms at 4 am. The ratings really surprised me. Bring earplugs or stay away. Never again.

It's in a peaceful local part of Venice, but the attractions are still an easy walk away. The host was friendly and helpful.

We'd happily stay here again. The people were very friendly, the room was clean, and the neighbourhood was calm. Breakfast was good, and public transport was easy to reach.
