City Apartments - Fosca

The noise from the neighboring room was disruptive because the soundproofing is poor, and it affected our stay. The view from our room at Fosca Venice Rooms, though, was stunning and really made the visit memorable.

The check-in spot is about a 10-minute walk down the street, and they'll hold your bags if you arrive early or leave late. We used a Bounce location less than a minute from Fosca rooms instead, since that suited us better. Getting into the rooms was easy and stress free because the entries were keyless. The rooms are tidy but small, which didn't bother us much since we spent most of our time out. It's a great location, but there are stairs, so keep that in mind if you have big luggage or anyone with disabilities. There's a bar downstairs that closes at 2am, so you might hear people chatting. Closing the shutters and windows kept out most, if not all, of the noise.

We loved the property itself, and there was plenty of room for two of us in a great location. The windows could be opened to cool things down, but then cigarette smoke from the bar below and lots of mosquitoes came in. The space has an air conditioning unit, but it doesn't keep the room cool. I wish we'd known it was right over a bar with mostly outdoor seating, lots of smoke coming into the bedroom and bathroom, and a 2am closing time.

A secure code let us into the hotel and rooms, so there were no physical keys to carry. The rooms were immaculate, with daily service, fresh towels and everything kept tidy. Our view was breathtaking and gave the stay a little extra magic. The location was convenient too, about a 15-minute walk from the train station, which made arrival and departure easy. For fellow travelers coming from Germany by car, parking at Spinea train station is a cost-effective option. The train ticket to Venice is around 3€, compared with hefty 80€ parking fees in Venice itself. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the hotel for a delightful, budget-friendly visit to Venice. We can't wait to return.
