Our room had plenty of space for a family, with several beds, a mezzanine and a garden view, and the price felt very reasonable. It was clean and comfortable, with a mini fridge and a roomy bathroom that had counter space, a bidet and a decent shower. The shower wasn't enormous, but it was bigger than the little square ones you often get in Italian hotels. The hotel is a simple but lovely place, about a 5-7 minute walk from the Alilaguna stops, crossing one main bridge and a few smaller ones depending on your stop. It's also roughly between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square/Doge’s Palace. I'd recommend it, especially for families.

We slept really well here, thanks to comfortable single beds and good pillows, and the shower had lots of hot water with great pressure. Breakfast suited us too, with cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, pastries and cake. We arrived on Sunday for five nights and found the staff friendly and welcoming. The room had what we needed, including a kettle, mini fridge, wall charging points and a good hairdryer. Our shared water taxi came right to the pier, which was perfect, and the lane felt safe even later in the evening. We'd come back.

We'd stay here again. The place was very clean and communication was great. It's in a really central part of San Marco, and the Academia bus stop is just across the wooden bridge, which made getting here from the train easy.

We hated our stay. The room was unbearably hot even with the windows open, and the oil heaters kept running though it was almost winter. Sound carries everywhere, so we had children running and screaming overhead. The female receptionist was so rude that we'd have checked out after the first night if we hadn't prepaid. I can't recommend it.
