Hotel Marte

Easy to find, with a great location. It's easy to reach from the airport and just steps from the Guglie stop on the orange line. They let us store our luggage, and breakfast was simple.

Really friendly staff, clean rooms and modern equipment. Great location. I'd come back!

I liked it enough to come back last night instead of looking for somewhere else. It's 12:45 AM now, and after walking 14,526 steps all over VENICE, I'm happy to be here. I have a 7:18 AM train to Milan, and the station is less than a 10-minute walk away. Sorry about all my stuff everywhere. The room has a fridge, so I could keep yogurt and strawberries for breakfast. The first photo shows the hotel front and how close it is to the canal, but with the window closed you don't hear people at all, unless you're super sensitive, maybe. I've got photos of two different rooms, and both were nice.

The room view was spectacular, and the hotel was very clean and conveniently placed for exploring. But we paid a high price and expected a smoother stay. The value wasn't really there, especially with the noise. We only heard about that by email after booking, and this isn't a quiet place, so I wish they'd told us upfront. The host also let us down. He said he'd provide toothpaste, even though he didn't need to pretend it was all ready. The morning-shift hostess said they don't offer that amenity. With the location, view and cleanliness as the good points, the service, noise and price still left us disappointed.
