We came back because we loved the view and rented the place again. We’d stayed nine years ago and really liked room # 5, though it’s not suitable if you have leg problems because of the many stairs and awkward hall and doors. The reception is nice, the staff are friendly and professional, and the service and breakfast are great. The exterior has unfortunately never been refreshed and looks sad.

The decor and the area are so beautiful, and the staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough for you. I liked being a little farther from Venice’s main tourist spots, since it was nice and quiet. What an amazing hotel.

Vintage rooms, a glass of prosecco at check-in, slippers and coats, and a really superb traditional setup. The staff are great too. One of the coolest hotels around Venice, and it makes you feel like you’re living in the Doges’ times.

The manager said the wifi works for 70% of clients, as if that were a good rate. The service was unpleasant too. I’d rather get water from a corner shop than have to deal with the manager again. I chose this place because everything else was booked for the holidays, but it was by far the shabbiest 200e per night hotel I’ve stayed in, and the shabbiest 3 star hotel. The room was shabby without the chic. Details like hangers stolen from Four Seasons are the least of it, while a door leading from the corridor to reception being blocked was more worrying. Please avoid. Venice has lovely other options.
