Relais Piazza San Marco

We spent three nights in a top-floor room with a view. Hot water was missing on two nights, so we had to bathe our baby in cold water. The refrigerator and AC didn’t cool or work properly, and the elevator was out for our entire stay, meaning four flights of stairs each time. Inside, the building looked run down, with water and paint damage that needs repair. We couldn’t reach management and never even met the manager to pay the city tax. I had to raise the water issue with the cleaning staff. I’ll be asking for a refund through my CC. We left Venice very disappointed. I really didn’t expect this from a 3 star hotel.

Breakfast is brought to your room at the time you choose. The rooms are very comfortable, and with the shutters closed they get completely dark, so I slept perfectly. The location is perfect. Superb, and highly recommended.

The room was clean and nicely furnished, and the owner was kind and helpful. We’d been double booked, so they upgraded us to the top floor, where we had our own private terrace. The location is unbelievable. I’d definitely stay again, and probably will!

Room service breakfast, and it was unbelievable! We had a great view of San Marco Square too. No elevator, which did wear us out a bit lol. Still one of my favorite hotels :)
