The rooms were small, with thin walls, but I’m not picky and it never really bothered me. The bunk beds were actually quite comfortable. If I remember right, there’s a bit of ocean view from the shared terrace, which made it a nice spot for breakfast. The toilet, shower, and kitchenette are shared, though with only two rooms for rent, we never had to wait. Good value for the price. I stayed for a few days in April 2016 and somehow never got around to writing this, though I still remember it vividly. Our host Takenobu Kinjo was warm and welcoming, checked that everything was in order, and made sure our stay went as planned. He was genuinely interested in his guests, happy to talk and explain local customs, culture, or whatever I was curious about. I really appreciated the effort and hospitality. Bring earplugs along on vacation.

The owner was very helpful, and the place felt nice and cozy. Hamada soba is really close by, and you should definitely check it out first thing in the morning.

Sunabe Beach in my beloved Chatan town has a stylish place to stay! It’s clean and cool, with good privacy, and there’s a shared kitchenette, counter, and washing machine. I’ll definitely come back next time.

The rooms are pretty basic, so bring your own toiletries, and some rooms share a bathroom. Each room has a refrigerator, but there aren’t many outlets. The host is friendly and helpful, and there’s a parking space. You can walk to the seawall and dive shop, as well as the tasty Hamaya Soba restaurant. There are a few bars nearby with a nice evening atmosphere.
