The sauna and bath with Fuji scenery were the standout for me. It’s a shared, unisex space and you need a swimsuit, though you can rent one here. The hotel is small and peaceful, with clean, fairly spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The staff are so friendly that it feels homey, and the hotel also makes an effort to be environmentally sustainable. I’d suggest booking the Japanese-style breakfast. I’d come back if I visit Fuji city again.

We could see Mt Fuji from our twin room, and the rooftop sauna was great. The room was clean, parking was free, and the staff were friendly. There are convenience stores nearby too. We loved our stay and would return.

The view of Fuji was incredible, and the rooms were large and very nice. The staff were super friendly too. I really enjoyed this hotel, and it’s worth a visit if you’re after a spa-day break.

Traveling alone meant I had the barrel sauna to myself, which made for a really enjoyable, almost luxurious session. I’d been looking forward to the sauna and it exceeded my expectations. I got a good sweat going and was very satisfied. The room at Hotel Sauna Fujinos was tidy and very clean, so I could relax comfortably. The one drawback is the barrel sauna’s size. It fits about four people, and could feel cramped with other guests, especially if you want to go as a larger group. Overall, I was very happy with the stay, particularly as a sauna fan.
