Fuji Matsuyama Base

The house is close to Fujisan station and a coin laundry. It’s a Traditional Japanese House with an artistic feel, and the owner is tidy, organized, and informative. My room had plenty of space to move around and unpack, and the bed was comfortable with a fluffy cover. The bathrooms and restrooms were well kept, too. If you book breakfast, the owner will cook it during the morning at a time you choose. It’s a mix of traditional Japanese breakfast and more modern touches. Very recommended!

I got in after a cold night and found a heater warming the common area, with jazzy music playing. Such a specific, chill vibe. The bed was comfortable, like soaking up the sun in a field of daisies, and the whole place felt warm as stepping into a bath. I can’t quite explain it, man! Tremendous place to stay, and super affordable for European backpackers. 10/10, brother, greetings from AUS 👍😁🇦🇺

Disliked: The bike we rented for 5,000 for the day was in terrible shape, too small, and the brakes barely worked. Don’t rent one here, just go to a bike shop. We weren’t given a second towel for day two, and the corridors were freezing. Liked: It’s a cheap hostel in an alright location, with shared rooms and a 22:00 curfew. The public area has a microwave, shared fridge, and tea-making facilities. Sharing with strangers and the curfew weren’t great.

Great place, amazing view, and the owner is a sigma. Super affordable, too. The shower was the best, with a heater for your feet. Five booms out of five. Best hostel in japan by far :)
