Hotel Evergreen Fuji

The hotel is probably the closest resort to fujisan, and the views from our large, clean rooms were amazing. The staff were professional, the meals we had were filling for Japan, and the onsite onsen, or perhaps sento, was bigger than I'd expect for a facility this size. The conference rooms and hall were spacious too. There's a nice Fujisan photo spot by the local brewery parking lot within walking distance. I stayed for a conference, and the place worked well, but it clearly needs renovation. It was generally clean, though there were signs of rust, peeling carpet tiles in some conference rooms, and chairs and tables that have needed replacing for a long time. It feels old, almost as if it might close, though that's true of many budget-side hotels in Japan. If you're driving, the large gravel parking lot is beyond the entrance. Roads away from the main area can be very narrow and dangerous, so drive carefully in yamanashi.

I was very disappointed. The hotel is old but very expensive, the staff were super rude, and there isn't any view.

A good place to stay in Fuji, and so far everything was fine. You'll need a car to get around. The picture is the view of mt Fuji from my room.

A beautiful place to stay, and we had a good time herr. The buffet food wasn't so good.
