The owner made every dinner herself, and each of the five nights brought something different, from traditional Japanese dishes to Western and fusion food. Breakfast was delicious too. Our Japanese-style room felt roomy and cozy, with its own bathroom; it was clean and never felt stuffy, so we slept really well. Iwatake ski resort is very close. We stayed five nights and would love to come back next year.

It’s a quiet, clean and comfortable place, away from the crowds. Walking to the city centre takes a while, but if you have a car, ski resorts, restaurants, a supermarket, onsen and bars are all within a five-minute drive.

The owners are nice, and it worked well for a stay of a couple of days. The place and the rooms are small.

Breakfast was tasty, and the Wi-Fi worked. I liked that some rooms have their own bathroom and toilet, and the air conditioning was good, though I can’t speak for the other rooms. I could clearly hear people in the next room sneezing and coughing, so the walls seemed thin. I also wished there were an option that included dinner.
