The food was delicious, and they even provided towels and toothbrushes. We booked at the last minute, but they were very accommodating. The garden is beautiful, too. The kind couple who run the place are apparently painters, and you can buy their artwork.

At ¥10,560 for one person for one night with two meals, the price felt fair for the experience. My room was down a flight of stairs in a semi-basement, which keeps it cool in summer and warm in winter. I stayed one Saturday night, August 13th. The place felt like a beautiful time capsule, almost like stepping into a story or a movie. That feeling started as soon as I entered the grounds and kept building with the room, the chair, the sofa and bed, and even the music box. I noticed the fragrance on the stairs, too. Everything had a lovely atmosphere, from the meals and bath to the toilets. The care and hospitality came through in all the details.

The small guest rooms feel warm and welcoming, with handmade plasterwork by the owner. Outside, there’s lush greenery and the calming sound of a stream. The owner's wife's gentle watercolor paintings add to the relaxing feel of this lovely guesthouse.

Wi-Fi is available, and the bright, DIY-style pension seems well suited to a quiet stay. Jazz plays softly in the background. The English garden felt a bit cold to me, which made spending time there somewhat tiring.
