The food and setting made our stay a real highlight of cycling the Shimanami Kaido. From our glamping tent at Wakka, we had a gorgeous sea view, and the five-course dinner was delicious and beautifully done. Breakfast was hearty too, and the toilets and showers were spotless. With only a few guests staying at a time, it felt peaceful and private. We booked the ride and deliver service, which was very convenient, though you could arrange it yourself. The e-bike they provided was top-notch. Wakka isn't cheap, but the quality and hospitality felt worth the price. I'd highly recommend it for a first Shimanami Kaido trip, and even to people just passing through the islands.

After biking half the Shimanamikaido, Wakka felt like an amazing place to recover. We hadn't booked dinner, so the staff suggested a few restaurants and arranged a table at the one across the street. That made the evening really easy. Check-in was smooth, and we also stopped by the cafe for drinks. The service went above and beyond. We'd definitely come back.

The bungalow was modern and really comfortable, and waking up to a beautiful sunrise was a treat. Even though our stay was short, Wakka became one of the highlights of our trip. Dinner was brought and served right to the bungalow, and both it and breakfast were excellent. Daisuke was a huge help before we arrived. He arranged our luggage pickup from Onimichi and helped us plan a fun Shimanami Kaido adventure.

We stayed in the "trailer," which was spotless, easy to find, and in a great location. The breakfast was good, and the e-bikes worked perfectly. I also recommend the trail, it's easy to follow and offers different distances depending on what you want to ride. The staff at WAKKA were fabulous. Communication was outstanding from my first enquiry and booking through bike delivery, and they even got our lost luggage to our next hotel right away. They answered all my questions before we arrived. Thank you to everyone at WAKKA.

The sea view at WAKKA is spectacular, with a few nice places nearby for lunch or dinner. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. I really liked the showers too. Breakfast was only continental, so I would've liked a few more choices. Everything else was easy and enjoyable.
