The cancellation policy left us disappointed. We asked to cancel for free more than 2 months ahead because two people in our group had visa complications, but the request was turned down. We ended up paying a 9,500 yen cancellation fee, and the rest of our group had to change the itinerary because fewer people were going. We never stayed, so this is about the booking experience. With that much notice, it seemed there was plenty of time to resell the room. I found the policy inflexible and out of step with what I consider common practice, where free or flexible cancellation is often available until 2-4 weeks before arrival. It came across as not very customer-focused, and made me wonder whether they were confident about demand.

There's a roomy living area, a kitchen, and two bedrooms upstairs, along with two toilets and a large shower. The hill right outside the house is really steep, so take care. Parking is down the hill.

The washing machine and detergent came in handy after I swam in the ocean. They meant I could get the sea smell out of my things instead of having it linger in the car. Check-in was a hassle, though. I noticed an unpleasant smell from the bathroom drain. There’s no air conditioning in the dining room, so I set the unit in the adjoining Japanese-style room to 18 degrees at full fan to keep the dining room from heating up. It didn’t feel very eco-friendly. I’d also like clearer signs at the inn and in the parking lot. From the information I received, I could tell there’d been a lot of trouble before. I’d rather have an environment that’s easy to understand than lots of detailed instructions.

Getting into the parking lot was really difficult, so be careful. The floor felt a bit rough, but the place was very clean and I had a nice stay.
