Kurohoro Machiya House

The furniture and design are so well done here. It feels traditional while still being really comfortable, even a little luxurious. I’d recommend it without hesitation. Arigato!

Having two bathrooms made things especially convenient, and the place was spotless from the start. Check-in was easy and welcoming. Kurohoro Machiya brings together traditional Japanese architecture with modern comforts, including underfloor heating and a well-equipped kitchen. The tatami rooms, shoji screens, and quiet tsuboniwa garden gave it an authentic feel. It’s also well placed for exploring Kanazawa, with Omicho Market and the Higashi Chaya District just a short walk away. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The two bathrooms were a real help for our two families, since getting ready was much less stressful. Parking beside the house was convenient and only cost a small fee. We also found the location ideal for reaching everything we wanted to see. The check-in staff were warm and friendly, and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. I’d gladly recommend this place.

This was our best stay in Japan. The place looked just as good as it does in the photos.
