Kanazawa guesthouse nagonde - Hostel

I’d stay here again next time I’m in Kanazawa. It felt warm and cozy, the staff were extremely friendly, and the beds were comfortable. There’s locker storage, laundry detergent is included, and the shared kitchen and common area have what you need. They also put out free drinks, coffee, and savory biscuits. The station is about a five-minute walk away, and Omicho market is roughly eight minutes on foot. Great value.

The people here were so friendly that after my one-night stay I wished I’d booked longer. The small size gives the place a shared-house feel, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Staff were lovely and even offered to walk us to a nearby bus stop. There are free drinks, lots of manga in English and Japanese in the public area, laundry machines, cheap beer, and bicycle rental. Towels cost 100¥. The common area is small but cozy, and the bathrooms and showers are shared. Rooms are small too, though the beds and mattresses are nice. Dorm rooms have lockers, and private rooms have door locks. If you’re fine with sharing facilities and want a budget stay with friendly people, I’d wholeheartedly recommend it. Just keep in mind it’s a hostel, with compact rooms and a shared-house setup.

Really cozy place in Kanazawa, only a few minutes from the station. There’s a shared area, laundry, and free hot water, drinks, and snacks. Cheap beer and lemon sour are available too. The staff are so friendly and speak English. I’d definitely come back 💝

Everything was very clean, and the host was helpful. There’s a big chalk map with nearby sights and ideas for places to visit. I stayed three nights and made good use of the kitchen appliances, which had what I needed, plus free green tea, coffee, sodas, and snacks. The showers were great, with strong water pressure and even hair conditioner, something not every hostel provides.
