We were due to leave the next day when a tsunami warning meant we had to evacuate. The staff really looked after us, finding us a nice little house farther uphill and bringing plenty of food. They made a difficult day much better. The wooden-style property is very nice and well equipped. I'd recommend renting a car, even though you can reach the place by train, since a car lets you explore the peninsula and beaches more freely. The better beaches are farther south than the one within walking distance.

Seeing cherry blossoms from bed was amazing. The house is near the station, right beside the cherry blossom tunnel, and has its own private hot spring bath. There's a fully equipped kitchen, and the balcony has BBQ gear. With a supermarket nearby, we could buy groceries and cook. The staff were attentive and helpful, and did their best to answer our questions. Great!

We came for the Kawazu cherry blossoms, and the row of trees on the property looked beautiful when lit up at night. Getting into the log cabin meant climbing a wooden staircase to the entrance, which made the stay feel like an unusual little adventure. Our tatami room had a separate futon set, so even the small children could sleep comfortably. The bathroom came with bath towels, a hair dryer, a toothbrush set, shampoo, body soap, and towels to take home. The spacious terrace had a complete BBQ set, and the kitchen had all the cutlery plus delicious hand-ground coffee. Downstairs in the same building there's a coin laundry and the popular cafe Kidokido. Food stalls, supermarkets, drugstores, and convenience stores nearby meant we could get everything we needed. Parking fits up to two cars. If arriving by car, check-in is at another location. For guests coming by train or other public transportation, a staff member comes to the door to check you in and explain things. The sea is close, so it would also be a nice place to stay during swimming season.

Though it's right in town, the room's stylish interior made it easy to forget that. It was very clean, and I had no concerns about anything being dirty, despite having seen some reviews that made me wary about cleanliness. The log cabin is lovely. The first floor seemed to be a studio, but it didn't look like it was used much, so it was very quiet. Supermarkets and convenience stores are close enough to walk to for groceries.
