I had a really good stay at Toyoko Inn Sannomiya Ekimae. The location is very convenient, just about 290 meters, or an easy 3-4 minute walk, from Kobe Sannomiya Station. Nearby convenience stores were useful, especially with luggage. I liked the self-service luggage lockers. They use wire locks and your own four-digit code, so there’s no physical key to lose. My room was clean and well maintained, with the usual Japanese business hotel size, but enough space for two. The air conditioning worked well, and I could adjust it to my preference. The lights have a remote control for changing both brightness and warm or white tone. There were pajamas, plus skin care kits and other amenities to pick up in the lobby. Breakfast was free from 6:30 to 9:00, with a buffet of Japanese and Western food that changed daily. It tasted like a warm home-cooked meal and was a good start before sightseeing. Wi-Fi was fast, the service was friendly, and the price was very reasonable. I’d happily stay here again.

The rooms are great, and the hotel feels fairly new. Sannomiya station is only a 3-5 minute walk away. The bathroom was a nice surprise: since I last stayed at a Toyoko Inn in 2016, they’ve added ceiling shower heads, which work well for tall people. Staff were top notch, as always. If I had one gripe, I’d like an extra pillow and a softer bed. Toyoko Inn is still my favorite hotel chain in japan.

The room was new, with a rain shower and a new hair dryer. Breakfast met the standard, and the front desk staff gave good service and helped with check-in, even though it’s done by machine. The location is good too, just a short walk across the street from the station. The lobby is on the third floor.

The rooms are well equipped and perfectly fine, though they’re small, which is normal in Japan. Breakfast was the letdown. It was quite bad, and there wasn’t nearly enough for a hotel this size.

We stayed in room 913 on 2025/8/6 for one day. We left three pieces in the refrigerator by mistake. Please keep them for us, and we’ll be back today.
