Unizo Inn Kobe Sannomiya

The location is great: there’s a Lawson, bakery, and self-service 24h laundry right next door. It’s a five-minute walk to the main subway station and about ten minutes to a lively shopping area. The price is reasonable, and the hotel is clean and tidy. The lobby has free coffee, tea bags, self-service laundry, a vending machine, and a microwave. The front desk staff also speak very good English. I really like this hotel.

The beds were clean, but the room was extremely small. Two people couldn’t pass each other, and there was nowhere to open big luggage. There’s no parking on the premises, and the breakfast from a low-quality Japanese restaurant chain wasn’t worth it. Some days the reception staff were rude. It’s a below-average business hotel and not up to Marriot standards. The price is cheap, so you get what you pay for, but I won’t be back.

The team were super friendly. It’s a nice enough Four Points, about a 10-minute walk from the train station. Just keep your expectations modest for amenities, room size, and dining.

It’s right between two railway stations, so getting around is easy, and it’s not too far from the stations. There’s a 24 hours restaurant right next door, with other amenities nearby and central Kobe Sannomiya close by. The room was comfortable.
