The room was clean, and both the room and food were good. The problem was the woman who answered the front desk phone. I called to reserve breakfast because I’d already decided, but she snapped, “Please call once you’ve decided!” It left me feeling sad. I was also really worried because I didn’t get a receipt for my card payment.

I’m from Ehime and have stayed here three times with my pet. The hotel has a clean interior despite its old Showa-era feel, and it’s inexpensive and pet-friendly. After paying in advance, you can come and go as you like, which makes walking your pet easy. There’s a convenience store nearby, the location is handy, and checkout is available until noon. Good if you want to have a drink and sleep in.

When I visit Kochi, I always stay here with my dog. The location is great for morning walks, with views of the Pacific Ocean, and my dog seems to enjoy it. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the facilities are well equipped. There are lots of dishes on the menu, so it’s hard to decide what to order. My dog seems to find the place relaxing too.

The best part of my stay was the phone service at the front desk. The woman and man answering at night were both cheerful and so polite, which surprised me for a love hotel. I’ve stayed at various love hotels in other prefectures, and this has been the best one so far. It was reasonably priced, and I’d use it again next time I’m in Shikoku. I was in traditional Japanese-style room 303 for a solo hot spring trip. It had a sauna, an outdoor bath, and a relaxation area. I skipped the outdoor bath because of the insects, and it was just a regular tub outside with a faucet, no shower. Unlike some love hotels where sauna use is banned or requires asking the front desk, here I could use it whenever I wanted. The room didn’t lock automatically either, which was convenient. If you forget to notify the front desk, though, they’ll call you incessantly. I slipped near the sofa and a lot of hair from previous guests came out from underneath, which was surprising, but otherwise the room was clean and didn’t have the usual damp smell I associate with love hotels. The amenities were standard, and the water dispenser was very helpful, maybe because of the sauna. Food service ends at 10 PM. You can stay from 6 PM until midnight the next day, so going early avoids the issue. The menu is like what you’d find at a typical neighborhood Chinese restaurant.
