Pension Full Note

Getting to the Hirafu ski area and Niseko’s best restaurants and bars is easy on foot from Pension Full Note. There’s also bus access to Hanazono, which you can reach by skiing from Hirafu too, though we didn’t explore the other zones. We loved the western breakfast, cozy rooms, and friendly staff. It has a great chalet feel. I don’t agree with the negative reviews. The bar downstairs was barely audible on the first floor, and the rooms are all upstairs. It’s popular with locals and has weekly trivia and open mic events. The gender-separated showers are in a bathhouse style, which felt familiar and comfortable if you’ve used an Onsen. Nokki deserves a shout-out for incredible hospitality!

I wouldn’t recommend Full Note Hotel. The bedroom had only one working light out of four, drinking water ran out every evening, and the bathroom floors felt unsanitary. The showers are in the basement, with a door connecting to a loud bar, and I wasn’t comfortable with my wife showering there. The meals provided by Whiteroom/Full Note lacked culture, taste, and sustenance. Staff were friendly when we could find them, but they were usually somewhere in the back.

Nyokki made us feel at home with such a warm welcome. Our Japanese-style room was spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious each morning, too. Pension Fullnote is in a great spot, within walking distance of the main street, and the free shuttle stops right out front. We had an exceptional stay.

The shuttle stops directly across the street, which is handy since it’s a 15-minute walk to the ski lifts. We had great breakfasts and a cozy stay, and Nyokki was especially kind and helpful. We had the best time here and would definitely come back.
