The crab dinner was enjoyable. Staff made the rounds and quickly cleared away shells as they piled up. When my husband felt sick during the meal, they brought us a towel and were very considerate. We’re sorry for the trouble. It was my birthday, which I’d mentioned in the comments, and they surprised me with a complimentary drink. I’d had birthday plans offered before, but never that, so it was a nice surprise. The entrance was a little difficult to find. Breakfast was buffet style, and I wish we could have taken our drinks back to the room.

The grounds are spacious, with different facilities and attractions, but unfortunately they were closed the day we visited. The sea is close by, and there’s more sightseeing to do if you go a little farther. There’s also a dog run and a dog-friendly restaurant, so it could work well for a trip with children and dogs. The building seems old but has been renovated, and we enjoyed the crab dishes. I was disappointed that the bath isn’t a hot spring. It has two large tubs, one with bubbles, and five sinks in the washroom. There’s one hair dryer, face and hand soap, and an alcohol dispenser. Cotton swabs and tissues are supplied, but not cotton pads. There’s no lotion, emulsion, or hair treatment.

We came as three generations, with my parents and my younger brother and his wife. The trip was to celebrate my daughter’s new job and college entrance, and to enjoy a good meal and some time together at year’s end. We chose the Kyotango beef course instead of crab, figuring we’d likely have another chance to eat crab after New Year. The plan cost around 15,700 yen. Both meals were tasty, the portions felt just right, and we were all satisfied. We only ordered alcohol on top of the plan. The big public bath wasn’t using hot spring water because the equipment was broken. Ashiginu Onsen is nearby for anyone wanting a hot spring bath. There’s an all-you-can-drink local beer offer in the lobby for 1500 yen, a nice deal if you like beer. The hotel is next to a roadside station for souvenirs, and families can try the go-karts and grass sledding. I think it suits people after good meat, families wanting to play outdoors, and visitors looking for a hot spring soak.
