Yuhigaura Onsen Misaki Annex Iwaki

I've been coming to this restaurant for more than 20 years, and the crab 🦀 is still excellent. But the breakfast has gotten so sparse that it's hard to accept, especially with prices going up. Being served barracuda for breakfast was disappointing. The simmered dishes are portioned unevenly too, with some people getting a lot and others very little. I wish they'd give that a bit more thought 😖.

Last year, after decades away, my grown-up daughter and son invited me on a trip to Minori Ryokan. The food was wonderful, the rooms were clean, and the hot springs were comfortable. I also stayed here with a friend this time, and it was a perfect fit. I first brought my family and parents about 30 years ago, and still remember how hospitable everyone was, even in a typhoon. A few years after that, I had another chance to visit for work. I think Minori Ryokan meets all our needs, including safety and security.

The beach is nearby, so I got to take a walk, and Minori Ryokan was spotless. The changing room was so clean that I didn't need the slippers I usually bring to hot springs, where the floors can be slimy. I loved the full crab course, and our kind waiter patiently showed me how to peel it. They let me take home the boiled crab I couldn't finish. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was such a huge, tasty spread that I felt bad leaving some behind. My room was clean, though the toilet needed two flushes to clear properly. It was a perfect stay, and I'd love to come back. It was my first visit, and honestly, I had a great time!

It's been a while since I last went to a hot spring. The bath was lovely, and dinner was a feast. I was very satisfied and would like to visit again.
