The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, with good tips and recommendations, and the prettiest breakfasts I’ve ever eaten. This was a perfect traditional Ryokan, set in an amazing location that was peaceful and quiet but close to everything. If you want typical western-style accommodation, this probably isn’t for you. But for a beautiful, authentic experience, we highly recommend it.

The room’s mix of traditional and contemporary design was really cool, and the breakfast was delicious. We had such a good stay at Ishihara, with a unique property and awesome hosts. It was nice chatting with the owners when we got back at the end of the day. They take great care of their guests, and we’ll definitely be back.

The old traditional inn has been renovated into two beautiful rooms, and they’re surprisingly spacious. It’s a unique little spot within walking distance of cute shops, izakayas, the market, and the river. Our hosts were thoughtful and helpful, and breakfast was a great start to the day. Probably the best place I’ve stayed. Thanks for having us.

This may have been the nicest lodging experience we’ve ever had. The place itself was beautiful and peaceful, with easy access to major points of interest. The hosts were generous and kind, and made our stay feel special. We can’t recommend it enough.
