A really nice, very clean place with pretty much all the amenities you'd expect in a Japanese apartment. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms got dark at night, so we could sleep. There's a cute courtyard with a table and bikes you can use to explore. Restaurants, convenience stores, and the station are all within walking distance, and central Kyoto, with all kinds of shops and restaurants, is very close.

Lovely, simple house with two rooms and space for 6-8 people, plus free bikes. It's right in the middle of Kyoto, about 500m from Kyoto train station. Fully furnished, with a kitchen and washing machine, and the price is affordable.

Having a rice cooker and washing machine would be especially handy on a longer work trip. The apartment also had two mattress options, a firm single and a softer double, so you can pick what suits your body. It felt really comfortable and spacious. I usually rent entire apartments too, but this one was about twice the size of the rooms I normally come across.
