La Rencontre Izumimachi

The owner clearly has a good eye, and the room was clean with everything I needed. It was also easy to get out and shop because of the convenient location. I stayed three nights after finding this reasonably priced inn, even though I’d wondered whether two nights in Matsuyama might be too long with so much to see. I left my glasses in the futon, and the kind help I got meant I didn’t have to give up on finding them. A very kind inn, even for a senile old man like me. Haha.

A bit of nighttime noise and some hassle getting the key were the only issues. Otherwise, I was really comfortable here for the two nights I stayed from Friday while in town for a live show.

I was helping a relative who’s in hospital at the nearby Prefectural Central Hospital, and this was my second stay for consecutive nights. On the first visit I struggled a little to get into the room with my smartphone, but even an older person like me could manage it. I wasn’t feeling great on the second visit, so I made porridge. There was a washing machine and they even provided detergent. We had trouble getting online that day, but a staff member came to help and kindly replaced the device. We were grateful. I’d planned to stay three nights, but the hotel was full on the third day, so we moved to a nearby hotel. I plan to stay here again.

Everything else is fine, which makes it a shame, but the washing machine smells awful and the odor stays in my nose. I asked for it to be fixed, but it still hasn’t improved.
