The food was a real highlight. Dinner came with their signature steak straight from the grill, and both meals were Western-style. The portions were huge, dessert included, though you can choose how much rice you want based on your appetite. Breakfast had fresh bread, vegetables, and fruit, and the coffee afterward was delicious. The facilities are a little dated, but they’re kept up well and made for a pleasant stay. A good spot if you’re traveling with dogs. The window air conditioner was the one annoyance, since it made quite a bit of noise.

I wanted somewhere cooler for my elderly dog during the hot weather, so we came in early September. It was a weekend, but there were surprisingly few guests. The owner said weekdays often bring lots of people with dogs. We ate both dinner and breakfast here, and enjoyed them. We could keep our dog with us during meals as long as we followed the etiquette rules. The bath is past the front desk and works on a basically private reservation system: you put a magnet marked with your room number on the board. It's much bigger than a home bath, probably enough room for a family of three. Just remember to flip the “bathing” and “vacant” signs before and after you go in. The rooms are upstairs on the second floor of the spa building. Their window air conditioners are loud while running. It got hot around 9:00 in the morning, though at night and early in the day it was cool enough without them. This was our first trip with our dog, almost a practice run. It was a really comfortable stay, and I hope we can come back while the dog is still healthy.

The restaurant service was excellent. Staff were attentive and brought the steaks and hamburgers out piping hot, and the Western-style dinner was tasty with generous portions. We paid 13,200 yen per person per day, with breakfast and dinner included, and chose the place because pets were allowed. I did miss having cutlery rests and separate cutlery for each course, though. The food was good enough that I hope they address that. The facilities include a dog run, table tennis, and karaoke, but the building itself didn’t feel very pet-friendly. We had to carry our pet up to the second floor, something I wish they’d told us beforehand. If you have a medium-sized or larger dog, I’d check the details in advance. The front desk explanation of the pet rules was vague, perhaps because many guests are repeat visitors, and as first-timers we found that surprising. You also need to reserve the bath. I asked about it at dinner and got no explanation, so I couldn’t use it until the next day. After sweating in the summer heat and carrying our pet up and down the stairs, that was frustrating. The room has a noisy window air conditioner that barely cooled things down. 😅😅😅 Maybe sleeping with the window open would be better. 🦆🦆

It's easy to take a walk nearby since the area is peaceful, and there's a dog run too. The pension lets you stay with your pet. The fries were crunchy, the draft beer was great, and the food was delicious. Our corner room made me feel a bit uneasy with only a window air conditioner. The bath is usually by reservation and about twice the size of a normal home bath. They seem to recommend LUX shampoo. There's a well-stocked manga area, plus a kettle and coffee sticks by the two sinks.

The meals were a strong point: both breakfast and dinner were plentiful and excellent, as the photos show. The building itself is old and seems poorly maintained. My room's refrigerator was broken, and I think each room should have a hair dryer since they aren't expensive. A karaoke room also feels unnecessary for this kind of place. I wish they focused more on guests with dogs, maybe by offering a dog menu.
