The front desk were great with luggage shipping. They filled out the whole form for me, so I didn't have to do anything. I was also impressed when someone used the ice cream machine without a cup: the front desk woman at the far counter rushed over and switched it off before it made a mess. She was really alert and quick. We stayed four nights and had a great time. The room was very spacious and the cleaners did a good job. The hotel is beside a subway line that serves most major destinations, and you can walk to both sakae and Nagoya station, so it's well placed for getting around. It's also far enough from the kyabakura area if that's a concern.

The cafe downstairs made a good latte and toasted sandwich for breakfast. It's a welcoming space with a proper espresso machine and the hotel's signature timber, black, and white look. The room was small by Japan standards but nicely designed, with plenty of desk room and luggage storage off the floor. The bed was very comfortable, with a large TV mounted opposite it. The bathroom was spacious, with a full wet room for the mini tub and shower. It felt roomy and trendy despite its actual size, and worked perfectly for our two-night stay.

I was only here one night and picked the large room intended for two, which was convenient for NUCB. I imagine the single rooms are really tight. Everything was functional and very clean, and I liked the New York City modern design. The bed was comfortable, I could work at the desk by the window, and although the room faced a busy road, I barely heard any traffic. The elevator's stripes made me dizzy, though, and standing in there was awful. The cafe downstairs served a really good grilled sandwich and cafe latte for breakfast. My stay was okay, but I'm not sure the price was justified. I would have felt better about it if breakfast had been free.

The room was small but did the job, and the toilet and bath were in separate areas. I paid ¥1,100 to check in an hour early. Parking on Yoshinoya Street was cheaper, ¥1,900 for the day. There’s a convenience store on the hotel corner. On the first floor they have a coffee maker, toilets, a baby room, and a smoking area. Pretty standard Japanese service.
