The owners keep this place extremely clean and organized, and the family running it were kind and very helpful. Our spacious room was clean and had its own heater, windows overlooking the town, and a small drying rack. The bathroom was spotless and had hot water. Laundry cost 100 yen, and the drying room was warm and dry. There’s a great gear storage room with a separate entrance that helps keep the lodge dry. A first lift was very close, with no line even on Saturday, and the lodge is at the base of the slack country exit. Public onsens nearby were nice and quiet, and town was a 15-minute walk. The owners also sold discounted lift passes, so we didn’t need to queue or hunt for a place to buy them. They even let us swap our full-day passes, bought the evening before, for half-day passes in the morning. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend it.

The owners were so kind, and the ski field and rental shop were close by. The chair lift is a five-minute walk away. Just be ready for traditional futons and a small onsen bath that opens daily from 4.30. It was lovely and relaxing after skiing. We loved our stay.

The owners really know how to care for their guests and made sure everything was just right. It’s a spacious, airy inn that works well for groups, and the Hachiman slope lift at Nozawa Onsen Ski Area is nearby. Some of the world’s best powder skiing is only a short walk away, so it felt like a true ski-in-ski-out stay. It made for a wonderful memory, and I hope I can return. Thank you so much!

Sato san went above and beyond, helping arrange delivery of our snowboards to the next destination and driving us to the bus stop at short notice. We might not have made it if we’d walked. What a Superman! The traditional Japanese room was very clean and comfortable. As we watched the snow fall from the window that night, we spotted a fox. An amazing little moment.

Breakfast was amazing, and there was an onsen machine too. We had a really good stay. The owners were very helpful and booked dinner for us since we couldn't speak Japanese or get a Japanese phone number.
