The breakfast was great, so don't miss it. We stayed on Jan 05 and 08, and the front desk service was wonderful. A woman at reception answered all my questions in a very friendly way. Highly recommended.

The hotel looks a little old next to newer places, but the staff are professional and the service is still very high quality.

The room is small and very dated, but the value is really good for a business traveler. Staff at the desk are friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a smile, and breakfast has a nice range of choices. The location is great too, about a 30 monute walk from the castle and a 5 minute walk from the mall and resteraunts.

It's good value and about a 10-minute walk from Okayama station. For luggage storage, they only have lockers, and you have to pay to use them. There's no bottled water in the room either, but the hotel gives you one free coin to buy a drink of your choice.

We stayed one night in a business room, which met our needs for a stopover. It's about half the size of a standard American hotel room and about half the price. The Wi-Fi was good, and I could turn off the lights while under the covers. The ark hotels mainlobby has an elegant look in blush pink, white marble, and gold trim, with lots of seating and friendly staff.
