The huge bento breakfast was beautifully presented and a real highlight, and the staff were very friendly. It’s such a cute hotel built right into Onomichi station. The rooms are nicely finished, feel new, and have all the amenities. The bath and shower were good too. Definitely worth staying a few nights to see Onomichi!

There isn’t a public microwave, but if you ask the staff they’ll heat things in their own. The hotel is right outside onomichi train station and sits above 7eleven. It’s also only a 2minutes walk from the bike rental for the shimanami kaido route, which is really convenient.

We had a comfortable, spacious room with a cozy sitting area, nice for unwinding after a long day. The location is hard to beat, right above Onomichi Station, so arriving, leaving, or setting out on a Shimanami Kaido ride is easy. It was clean and thoughtfully set up. If you’re cycling the route or want easy access to town, it’s a great option. There’s an elevator just outside the station that takes you up to the 2nd floor when you exit Onomichi Eki.

The rooms are stylish and spotless, and the hotel is in the best spot, right above the main train station. The team are also incredibly friendly and helpful. At check-in I realized I’d lost my cellphone. They called several places and checked the station lost and found, all while helping me stay calm. In less than two hours, they tracked it down in another prefecture and arranged to send it to my next hotel. Thanks again to the Beacon team!
