We had to pull our luggage about 250-300 meters across two roads, as there was no bus access or parking. The shopping location is very good, and the staff were friendly, though one front desk employee seemed a bit different and perhaps wasn’t Japanese, with less of the Japanese politeness I expected. Our room had a strange smell coming from the bathroom or drains. Breakfast could be better with wholemeal bread and more fruit.

The bathroom had a terrible wet smell coming up from the drains, and that made this the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The shared area floors were filthy and hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room layout and location were good, but the smell was awful.

The shower switches into a dryer, which I liked. The room is self-contained, but its door opens out into the floor’s main hallway, so you have to watch out when opening it in case someone else’s door hits you. It’s a bit odd. Getting into town is handy, with lots of little eateries along the way and a coffee shop on the same street that opens at 7:30am.

Getting around was easy from this clean, roomy place, and it even had a kitchen. Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori are close, just a few minutes on foot for food and shopping. Great value, and I’d pick it again next time.

We were a family of three, and the room suited us well. I liked how it was laid out, with the shower and toilet in separate areas. The hotel is in a good location, and we’d recommend it.
