Hotel B Suites Namba Kuromon

The rooms were okay, and breakfast was nice. The amenities were great, and the staff were genuinely friendly and kind. The location is excellent, though getting to the metro stations takes quite a bit of walking.

Breakfast is offered, though the choices are limited. The rooms are on the small side, but the hotel is close to shopping areas and there’s a convenience store nearby.

The main draw for me was how close it is to the subway. The Namba station and mall entrance are right across the street, at the end of a long stretch, and there are plenty of attractions and restaurants within an easy walk. Just be careful not to mix it up with "The B Namba," which is a different hotel about two blocks away. This is a basic three-star hotel by Japanese standards, with private rooms and bathrooms and some amenities. The lobby has free soda, juice, coffee, and tea machines for guests. The surrounding area quiets down around 10 pm, and check-in is mostly automated. There’s a small fridge and space heater in the room, and the shower has a small tub. The bathroom comes with toothbrushes and toothpaste, a hairbrush, washcloth, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hand soap. Checkout is at 10 am, or as late as noon for an extra fee.

The only thing I enjoyed was the lovely view and being near the shopping centers. The air conditioning needed repairs in every room on my floor. When we told a staff member, he seemed to assume we could just put up with the heat and open a window. Our room also didn't have enough space for us to repack our luggage, and he didn't offer to move us to other rooms. I couldn't sleep all night.
