Hotel S-Presso Namba

Getting around was easy, with the metro about a three-minute walk away and Dotonbori convenient to visit. The beds are at floor level, which gave the traditional Japanese-style room a distinctive feel. I had a minor room issue, but although there was no physical front desk, staff replied quickly and sorted it out without a problem. They were attentive and made me feel looked after. I'd recommend this hotel for a visit to Osaka.

The main drawback is the lack of an elevator, though guests can leave heavy luggage in the storage room on the first floor. The place is near Nankai Namba Station and uses self check-in, with staff available if you need help. Since I was only staying one night, they let me check in very early in the morning even though the usual check-in time is 3 pm. They changed my room, but I was still happy with the decision to stay here. I'd recommend it.

The location is so convenient, right after you come out of the subway. The rooms are compact but have pretty much everything you need. There isn't a bathroom in the room, but it's easy to step out to use one, so that didn't bother me. I was very glad I stayed here. It's friendly to foreigners and Korean speakers, too. I arrived without a reservation and don't speak Japanese, but a Korean-speaking staff member helped me through the process. Just be aware there is no elevator. I had a 60-pound suitcase, and the staff member kindly helped me carry it up to the third floor. There's a free luggage storage location about a four-minute walk away for heavy bags, so keep that in mind or book ahead.

We had a perfect vacation here, and the room price was very cheap. There is no front desk staff, so everything has to be handled online. We booked two nights and there was no room cleaning during our stay. Cleaning is available for stays of four nights or more. On the second day, we had trouble with the toilet water draining. The staff gave us good service and helped with the problem. It's a good place, and I'd highly recommend it. 👍🫶
