Vista Osaka Namba Hotel

I found the room layout especially practical when sharing: the toilet, sink, and shower are separate, so nobody has to wait for the shower just to use the toilet. They even provide a really good hair curler. The room is still compact, but compared with other places I've stayed in Japan, it felt roomier and more comfortable. The location makes everyday errands easy. There's a 7-Eleven on the first floor, plus Aeon Foodstyle and Lawson nearby for snacks, drinks, umbrellas, or other essentials. Dotonbori is close, while Shinsaibashi takes a bit longer but is still walkable. The train station is nearby too. Good value for money, and I'd highly recommend it for the convenience and layout.

The main reason I'd stay here is the location. It's walkable to the metro and close to Dotonbori and Osaka's other main streets, with shopping and street food easy to explore. There's a 7-Eleven at the entrance, and the lively area has lots going on. The rooms are a decent size, bigger than many business hotels like APA, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices were limited and could be better. The AC also seemed centrally controlled, since changing the temperature didn't make much difference. Still, it's a comfortable hotel in a very convenient spot.

The room was bigger than other hotels I've stayed in around Japan, and for the price I'd still recommend the place. The bed was huge and comfortable, the shower room spacious, and the staff friendly. There's a smoking room, ice machine, microwave, laundry, and a 7-11 right below. Shopping streets, dontobori, and the train station are nearby. The airport limousine to and from Kansai airport stops opposite the hotel at Donto Plaza, which made things easier. The room ventilation was poor. Even at the lowest A/C setting of 20 degrees it felt hot. It was winter, and opening the windows helped bring in air, but the room still felt warm. The hotel should improve the A/C and ventilation. Soundproofing was poor too, since it's beside the main streets. Friday and Saturday nights were especially noisy with motorbikes, ambulances, and police sirens, so I wouldn't recommend it to light sleepers. The TV volume only went up to 30, which was too quiet for YouTube or Netflix.

It was quiet despite being right by Dotonbori and several subway lines. Check-in and checkout were easy, and they offered luggage storage both before and after. The beds were comfortable and the price was good. We'd gladly come back.
