It was so noisy I couldn't sleep. Even with earplugs, rude Japanese men were talking and laughing ridiculously loudly. I don't recommend this place.
For a budget stay, I can recommend it if you're looking for a decent night's sleep. It wasn't as noisy at night as I expected, and the guesthouse is close to Saga Station (Saga Bus Transfer Center). The shared bathroom and shower were fine for the price. I couldn't reach the owner, though, and messages didn't get through to the Chinese and Korean guests staying there the same day, which made things confusing at first. The owner wasn't around, including at checkout the next day. I sorted things out with a Japanese guest. At first I had to get through the entrance, but I didn't know the lock code, so I just went in. Inside there were rooms ABCD, and the owner hadn't messaged me which room to use, so I unpacked and then moved to another one. I think I might have been able to get a larger room even though I booked alone. Towels, toothbrushes, and earplugs are self-service, and you have to make your own coffee.
Room A was large, bright, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. The air conditioner seemed new and worked well, and the bathroom was roomy with a bathtub. No one else was staying there that day, so I felt like I had the whole place to myself. It's a self-check-in guesthouse, and at first I couldn't get in because I hadn't received the door code. Luckily I reached the host by phone and got inside without trouble. You have to fill out some forms at the entrance before going upstairs. The entrance is small, with stairs right beside it, which could be awkward with big luggage. There are just four rooms, A, B, C, and D. Once you find yours, you can go right in, and the room key hangs on the door inside. They provide a towel, toothbrush, and earplugs. You can put the used towel in the washing machine. The kitchen has a microwave, water heater, and instant coffee. There are lots of places to eat nearby, and food stalls nearby made the area lively that evening. Saga Station is about a 10-minute walk away, very convenient.
