Best Western Hotel Sendai

The view from the room was stunning. I could watch rain come in over the mountains and see fireworks after a baseball game, all from inside. It made me feel like a king. Breakfast in the dining area was great too, with an incredible view. The rooms are spacious, clean, and tidy, with no stains, watermarks, or marks on the walls or furniture. They have a 60-80s hotel feel, which I think is the hotel preserving the spirit of American domestic travel in its golden age, not just failing to keep up. I noticed a few little things that seemed off, though I can’t remember them now because the experience was so good. Taxis were always waiting, which made getting around easy for a place a bit out of the way for tourists. The mall is right there too, so anything you need is easy to get. I’d stay again.

I stayed here six months ago and it was amazing, but my recent stays were a big letdown. I booked a non-smoking room and got one with a strong cigarette smell. When I asked to change rooms, the replacement smelled bad too. Stay away from this horrible hotel!

The onsen isn’t included in the price. The room itself was clean and a decent size.

The TV didn’t work, there was no charging plug near the bed, and I found an unidentified hair in the washroom.
