Tucked between modern office towers, this is a charming family-run ryokan with a nostalgic Showa-era feel. The landlady was incredibly friendly, the whole place was spotless, and breakfast was delicious. I’d definitely stay again if I’m back in Sendai.

The landlady was so warm and helpful, and really looked after us with all her heart. We loved her. Breakfast was hearty and delicious too. The service deserves more than five stars, and this place feels like a gem in busy Sendai.

I stayed at Ichinobo the day before, which was exciting and fun, but this place felt like being back in my grandma’s hometown. The location worked perfectly for me, about 8 minutes on foot from Sendai Station, 3 minutes from Kotodai Park, and 15 minutes from the drinking district. For this price, getting a delicious breakfast included made me really grateful. I’d like to stay again if I get the chance to visit Sendai.

My wife, our 3-year-old son and our 1.5-year-old daughter stayed here, and I understand now why people say the landlady and staff are so friendly. The service was attentive and always came with a lovely smile. The kids got attached to the landlady and kept sneaking downstairs from our room to find her, lol. Even though she was busy, she welcomed them, remembered their names and doted on them. Thank you so much. Breakfast was delicious too, and my wife and I went back for plenty of refills. We’d definitely stay here again when we’re in Sendai.

The landlady’s smile is so reassuring. This inn is near Sendai Station, but still has a warm, nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious too. Thank you very much.
