HOTEL LiVEMAX Takamatsu Eki Mae

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The room air was hot and dusty when I arrived, so I switched on the air conditioner and saw dust and mold all over the inside. I couldn't take a picture, but it made me feel dirty, and I know I'll remember it. I woke up with a sore throat every day. I didn't want to breathe that air, so I came back late every night, even when I was exhausted. NEVER USE THIS HOTEL!

The twin room was very big, with two pillows on each bed and a pretty comfortable Slumberland mattress. The robes in the room were handy, and it was the first hotel room I'd seen with a microwave. The self check-in and check-out machines worked fine. The counter staff weren't very friendly, and the hotel is a little far from the station, though near a supermarket. There was no free bottled water or water dispenser, only vending machines. The kettle felt dirty, the shower curtain had mold, and the toiletries were okay. The toilet had no laundry line.

Having a huge room was great after spending most of the trip squeezed into small ones. That was the best part, though. The cafe was closed, the service was just functional, and the hotel had no real charm. The location was so-so. Not bad, but not great either.

The front desk staff provided terrible service, especially when it came to handling customer problems. The bathroom curtains were covered in fungus, the bathrooms were dirty, and the air conditioning was very poor. I wouldn't recommend it for a peaceful stay.
