There's plenty to keep kids occupied, with toys, games, and movies, and the apartment also has a kitchen, dining utensils, laundry, and lots more. It was spacious, clean, and pleasant, with more than enough amenities. Check-in was easy, and it's close to the train station, FamilyMart, and restaurants. I'd definitely recommend staying here in Takayama.
Big Eight II was my favorite place to stay in Japan. The apartment was quiet, roomy, clean, and easy to use, with the amenities you'd expect in a small flat. It was good value, too. Takayama itself was one of my favorite places on the trip, so I highly recommend a stay here.
The upstairs neighbors were the main downside. Their footsteps were loud, and we could hear them all the time. Still, I'd come back to Takayama and stay here again if I get the chance. The apartment gives you much more space than a typical cramped hotel room for nearly the same price, and it was comfortable and easy to use. The Amazon TV set was handy for foreign guests, since most hotel TV shows are only in Japanese. There's also a hand-drawn map above the TV with nearby shop suggestions like McDonalds and FamilyMart. Wi-Fi, washer, dryer, and everything else we needed were provided free. - some dude from Malaysia
There's nothing I can complain about. It had what we needed for traveling as a family or group, including kitchen utensils, a washing machine, towels, and a comfortable bed. I'd book it again if I return! 👍
You get plenty of space in a great location, and the price is good for what you get. Highly recommended.
