Hotel Hana

The room is compact, as you'd expect at this kind of hotel, though the bathroom was larger than others I've stayed in. The bed and pillow are hard, but the night shirt was brand new and extremely comfortable. The air conditioning works well and is easy to adjust, and the window opens for fresh air. Staff are friendly and helpful, and you can choose services and amenities to suit your needs. It's an inexpensive, small business hotel in a prime spot, about a six-minute walk from Takayama Station. Konbinis are nearby, with craft shops, antique stores, restaurants, and a beautiful Buddhist Temple complex next door.

I stayed here during my fifth trip to Japan while visiting Takayama. It was a cozy, pleasant place, about 10-15 minutes from the local train station, so the walk wasn't too far. For a budget trip, I felt the price was fair for what you get. Guests also get a small breakfast for free.

There's a wonderful view of the shrine right beside this cozy, nice hotel. It's very close to the station, and the staff are helpful and smiley. A nice basic breakfast is included.

The rooms are average but perfectly reasonable. I was traveling alone, and the room was enough for me. The staff were helpful, and coffee and tea were always available. The hotel itself is very nice and in an excellent location, about a 10-minute walk from the main places.
