Thanks for replying. Our family loves visiting the Japanese countryside. With two kids, though, staying somewhere with a shared toilet and bathroom won’t work for us. We’re planning a trip next summer to Minamioguni Town, Taketa City, and Aso City.

The food was delicious, and getting the whole house meant we could relax with our privacy guaranteed. This is the best minshuku in Japan! If you enjoy meeting locals and getting to know the area, you have to stay here. And if you’re especially into alcohol, having a drink with the owner will be right up your alley. (^o^)

It’s a little off the main road, so watch out that you don’t drive past it! (laughs) When I first went to check it out, it seemed right on the edge of a cliff. By the time I stayed, the area had been widened a lot and didn’t feel scary at all. Having the whole house to ourselves made for a really comfortable stay. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and they set up the beds and futons based on how many people were staying. If you tell them what you like and don’t like, they might be able to arrange meals to suit you. It’s a great place that makes me want to return. Thanks so much. I passed my exams, and I’m grateful for that.
