Cosmo Plaza Akabane

It was easy to find and close to the station. The building feels a little old, but has some charm, and the sauna was comfortable. Since it’s in a bar district, finding food or a drink nearby is easy. It’s also a nice spot to unwind after a night out. Prices are reasonable, and the place is easy to use.

The best part was the high-temperature sauna and cold plunge, which felt incredibly refreshing. The location is great too, just a five-minute walk from the station, and the accommodation offers excellent value. The capsule itself is pretty ordinary, but clean and odorless, with a single power outlet. Meals aren’t included, though you can order sushi and other delivery for around ¥1,200. Check-out is by 10:00, and you’re free to go out. Akabane has plenty of restaurants, so it’s easy to find breakfast nearby. I’d like to come back soon.

The old building was a bit dim, and the toilet did smell, lol. Still, the bathroom was surprisingly clean for its age, and I liked the sauna and cold bath. There were plenty of amenities, and at about 2,500 yen I thought it was a great deal.

The loungewear was comfortable, and the staff were very kind. The hot spring wasn’t especially big, but I found it relaxing. The location was great, though you have to take the stairs down, which can be awkward with heavy luggage. The room was warm but dry, and I woke up with a sore throat.
